VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT – LUCIANO NIEL

An inspirational look at the dedicated and passionate members of the HFC community who are driving us to opening day

Meet Luciano!

When and why did you become an owner of HFC?

I started volunteering for HFC about a month ago. I’ve been wanting to use my design skills for a positive change and thought volunteering at HFC was a perfect opportunity in doing so. As an early member, I feel excited to learn more about HFC, how the co-op model works and how we can make this work for us all!

Tell us a little about you.

I was born in Lincoln Nebraska, to Uruguayan parents and grew up in the State of Mexico in Mexico. My first language is Spanish, but I have spoken English as well from a very young age. I currently live in Orenco Station with my wife and dog named Chico. I enjoy drawing, coding, and playing futbol soccer whenever I can.

In what way(s) do you volunteer for HFC and what do you enjoy about your experiences?

I have had the opportunity to work on website elements and some designs for social media graphics. From the beginning, everybody working at HFC has been super nice and friendly. I can’t wait for the pandemic to be over so we can eventually meet in real person.
