Election season is here!
Hillsboro Food Co-op is proud to be community-owned and democratically-controlled. One way that this is seen in action is through annually electing board members. Board members are member-owners who want to regularly volunteer their time to guide the direction of the Co-op. The Board of Directors is responsible for the financial health of the co-op and, at present, for guiding the start-up process.
In our third annual elections, three board seats are up for election, and we have one candidate.

Every member-owner is encouraged to vote! Only a Hillsboro Food Co-op member-owner in good standing may vote. Good standing is judged as of Friday, February 17th.
There are two options for voting:
- Come to the Annual Meeting! The meeting is a pancake breakfast with potluck sides on February 18th, 9-11:30am, at Hillsboro United Methodist Church (168 NE 8th Ave). Member-owners should have received an email invitation near the end of January. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you did not receive your invitation.
- Mail in your ballot. You may download, print, and complete your ballot. The deadline to mail your ballot is Tuesday, February 14th. Click here to download the mail-in ballot!
