2017 Elections

Election season is here!

Hillsboro Food Co-op is proud to be community-owned and democratically-controlled. One way that this is seen in action is through annually electing board members. Board members are member-owners who want to regularly volunteer their time to guide the direction of the Co-op. The Board of Directors is responsible for the financial health of the co-op and, at present, for guiding the start-up process.

In our third annual elections, three board seats are up for election, and we have one candidate.

Every member-owner is encouraged to vote! Only a Hillsboro Food Co-op member-owner in good standing may vote. Good standing is judged as of Friday, February 17th.

There are two options for voting:

  1. Come to the Annual Meeting! The meeting is a pancake breakfast with potluck sides on February 18th, 9-11:30am, at Hillsboro United Methodist Church (168 NE 8th Ave). Member-owners should have received an email invitation near the end of January. Please email info@hillsborofood.coop if you did not receive your invitation.
  2. Mail in your ballot. You may download, print, and complete your ballot. The deadline to mail your ballot is Tuesday, February 14th. Click here to download the mail-in ballot!
